PJ DiDonato — Text Message to Justin Horn Date: August 25, 2025 (night of; referenced in Justin Horn email to Post Brothers management dated August 26, 2025) Sender: Paul DiDonato Jr. ("PJ") — second assailant, Commonwealth v. Talley, CP-51-CR-0000673-2026 Recipient: Justin Horn (victim) Source: Paraphrased from recipient recollection; original screenshot attached to Justin Horn's Aug 26 email to Lana Brown (Post Brothers). Email states: "The guys that hit me think it's 'funny', as they texted me last night. (Attached). I didn't respond." --- TRANSCRIPT (paraphrased from recipient recollection): "haha you're funny Justin, if you want to get the courts involved the cameras will show what happened" --- CONTEXT: Sent 3 days after the August 22, 2025 assault in the Goldtex lobby at 315 North 12th Street, Philadelphia. PJ DiDonato (Paul DiDonato Jr., Apt. 908) is the second assailant in the attack on Justin Horn, which resulted in a fractured orbital bone, broken nose, and broken jaw. He is identified as a defendant-adjacent party in Commonwealth v. Talley, CP-51-CR-0000673-2026, in which Stephen Talley is the named defendant and PJ is the second assailant present during the eleven-minute attack. Justin did not respond to this text. --- SIGNIFICANCE: 1. CAMERA CONTRADICTION — On August 22, 2025, building front desk staff told responding police officers that there was a "blind spot in cameras" — a claim used to discourage investigation at the scene and deny that surveillance footage existed. PJ's text, sent three days later, expresses full confidence that "the cameras will show what happened." These two positions cannot both be true. PJ (an assailant who was present) believed camera footage existed and would support his account. The front desk (building management) told police it did not. The building's surveillance footage was subsequently retrieved by Justin Horn himself — with a fractured orbital bone — and that footage produced the arrest warrant in Commonwealth v. Talley. 2. COURTS INVITED — PJ explicitly invited legal proceedings ("if you want to get the courts involved"), framing himself as unbothered by court review. This is consistent with a belief that the footage supported him — a belief contradicted by the arrest warrant the footage generated. 3. ESCALATION TO WITNESS INTIMIDATION — On August 29, 2025, seven days after the assault and four days after this text, PJ stalked Justin Horn outside the building and screamed from across the street: "you're making a big mistake." Justin filed a police report for witness intimidation (incident #25-09-101088). The pattern — laughing text on Aug 25, physical intimidation on Aug 29 — reflects a coordinated effort to discourage the victim from proceeding with the case. 4. COORDINATION WITH TALLEY — Stephen Talley sent his own post-assault text to Justin at 10:53 PM on August 22, 2025 (the night of the assault), also inverting the facts and warning Justin against "dragging this matter out." Taken together, both assailants contacted the victim after the assault — Talley the same night, PJ three days later — with messaging designed to discourage court involvement.
